It’s a water-free purification process that does not require chemicals or biologicals and precludes any drying step, which can potentially degrade biological compounds.
Dry Processing for Food and Feed Separator • The STET process is completely dry with a high processing capacity and low energy consumption. STET has successfully demonstrated beneficiation at pilot plant scale for numerous food and feed applications: • Sunflower Seed Meal • Distillers Grains • Canola & Rapeseed Meal • Fish Meal
Dry Processing for Food and Feed Separator • Sunflower Seed Meal: The tribo-electrostatic belt separator demonstrated the capability to process finely ground sunflower seed meal to significantly upgrade the protein content, making it more valuable as an animal feed.
Dry Processing for Food and Feed Separator • Distillers Grains: We offer a method to differentiate an ethanol producers distillers grain by increasing the protein content, and thus the value of the distillers grain as a feed ingredient. By processing with the STET separator, the protein content of the DDGS is increased by up to 15% absolute,by removing fiber. The benefit from this process is that the protein rich (50% protein) DDGS is usable as a higher value feed ingredient, and can be sold at a premium.
Dry Processing for Food and Feed Separator • Canola & Rapeseed Meal: Our Dry electrostatic separation methods offer an opportunity to generate new and more functional plant protein products, including canola or rapeseed meal with increased protein content for use as a high value animal feed.
Dry Processing for Food and Feed Separator • Fish Meal: The fish meal was finely ground at a third party grinding facility, and separated by STET. The feed material was measured with a starting protein content of 77% protein (dry basis) and ash content of 12% (db). After a single pass through the STET separator, the high protein fish meal product was measured to contain 91% Protein (db) and 5% ash (db). The represents an increase in the protein content of 14% absolute in a single pass through the STET separator.
