The Basics…. • Children in school on time every day 8:50 in line. • Healthy breakfasts and lunches. Fruit and veg! • No appointments AT ALL during the school day • Read with your child! EVERY DAY if possible but at least 3 times each week. Sign and comment in the Reading Record. • Provide a quiet space for children to do their homework • Help with homework that they don’t understand • No absences. • Attend parents’ evening • YOU make sure homework is completed and in on time. Praise!
The icing on the cake… • We encourage extra tuition! Especially for reading and maths • Make sure children have time to relax and enjoy themselves properly at weekends – swimming / zoo / trampoline parks / picnics / beach visits / museums / children’s gym / library visits / go to the park
