  4. WRITING ON THE WALL The word GRAFFITIsimply means--words or drawings scratched or scribbled on a wall. The word comes from the Greek term graphein" (to write). The word "graffiti" itself is plural of the Italian word "graffito."

Is Graffiti fine art or vandalism? • Your task • Work with 2 other people to research the idea of graffiti or “street art” on the computers. • Based on your research, what does your group believe? Construct a sentence that explains your group’s opinion on this issue. • Come up with 2 facts, quotes, or details from at least 2 different websites that seem to support your opinion. • Add to your original sentence until your group has a 7 – 9 sentence paragraph explaining your position and including your 2 facts. REVISE AND EDIT this. • Use everyone in the group must write at least one sentence in the paragraph.

  10. Extra Credit • Go to GraffitiCreator.net • Create your own “tag” using FONTS, FEATURES, AN ICON, and a UNIFYING FEATURE. • DO NOT PRINT IT OR TRACE IT…you must recreate it on a piece of paper that is LARGER than 8X11. (See me) • Try colored pencils, markers or crayons!
