What it looks like? • A hermit crab has red skin and a bumpy shell. On the outside of the hermit crab is hard but, the inside is soft. Did you know that they come in different shades of red. The colors on its shell can be different and the shell can come in different paterns and it also has sparkling black eyes. It has one tremendous claw, so it can curl up in its shell and not fall out. Hermit crabs don’t have fins ,they have claws and also has an antenna. They can grow up to the size of a baseball and the length can be up to 5 in.
What it eats • A hermit crab eats seaweed, kelp, krill and shrimp.
Where it lives • A hermit crab lives on sandy beachs ,like in pei.
