Federal-Aid Project Oversight Responsibility Agreement The Alaska DOT assumes FHWA role for assuring compliance with Federal Laws, Policies & Title 23. The Alaska DOT shall develop procedures to implement responsibilities under this agreement.
Alaska DOT Assumes Project by Project Responsibility For: • Design, plans, specifications, estimates, right-of-way certifications, contract awards and inspection/final acceptance of projects. • DOT is not relieved of the responsibility even thought the project may be under the supervision of another public agency.
