Find 10% of 100. So divide the whole amount by 100 to find 1% ( 100÷100=1) 100 1% of 100 is 1 then multiply that by the percentage you need (1 × 10 = 10) so 10% of 100 is 10
Find 10% of 700. So 700÷100=7 700 1% of 700 is 7. Then multiply by the amount you need 7×10=70 so 10% of 700 is 70
