Our area pathway approach • In prison interventions • Hawk - Probation based housing advice • Medium term bed spaces • Rent deposit and B and B Fund • Floating support • MOT – pre tenancy training
1. In Prison delivery • Tenancy saving • Family mediation • Solutions to homelessness • Through the gate • Specialist services (BME) • Linking with probation
2. Hawk Role Housing Advice Worker Probation based service Referrals direct from probation • tenancy breakdown • Homelessness • pre tenancy training • Joint working and referrals as appropriate • Family liaison • Support to reduce reoffending
3. Medium term bed spaces • Referral from the HAWK and in prison workers • Floating Support and Accommodation Broker • Move on Training (MOT) • Resettlement - usually PRS schemes
4. Rent Deposit and B and B Fund Subject to assessment • Rent Deposits • The role of bed and Breakfast accommodation
5. Floating Support • Case load 15 – 25 • Support up to 6 months to 1 year • Tenancy Sustainment
6. MOT - Move On Training • Classroom based – around 15 per class • Classes delivered by trainer and Peer • Lunch provided • One to one training through HAWKs • MOT Handbook
