  1. Practice Manager for supply chain management (SCM) services in the petroleum downstream segment. Developed go-to-market strategy, forged alliances with appropriate software vendors (I2, Manugistics, Logility, SAP-APO), developed thought leadership -published in industry magazines, qualified and bid on 7 major SCM opportunities. Closely coordinated development and proposals with PwC Europe and consumer products hi-tech SCM capabilities. Designed and conducted a two-day SCM workshop applying optimization principles to the continuous process oil business. Included current evaluation of optimization software and an innovative web-based SCM simulation training tool. Course materials presented in S/east Asia and China. Other representative IT and operations consulting projects include: Project Director with Equiva Trading, to define world class business, strategy, I/T and risk-control improvements to all deals across their 7 million crude/product barrels traded. Capture $60 million of benefits. Managed a similar trading project with a large US merchant-refiner. Completed $ 9 million IT Strategy assignment as Project Manager with Indian Oil Co. in Delhi, the largest Indian downstream operator to define a new business & systems strategy to cope with a recently deregulated market structure. Recommended system implementation now underway. Managed three 2,000 hour improvement projects for the 220 man international export operation of SAMAREC - the National Oil Company of Saudi Arabia. Incorporated PwC CI/BPT principles to define and flowchart ways to streamline department work processes. Worked closely with Arab Vice Presidents to communicate project objectives, effectively implement and get results with multi-national staff. Defined and managed an SCM, operations and I/T re-engineering project for a US Gulf Coast/East Coast refiner-marketer which documented over $30 million of improvements in crude & products supply, trading & marketing. Completely re-engineered bulk refined products marketing processes for an aggressive Midwest merchant refiner which identified over $15 million/yr savings; and led to a $15 million custom system engagement. E-Commerce As the former President of EDI Plus, developed a leadership position in E-commerce and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) planning and implementation. EDI system implementations complemented by business process re-engineering analysis as the customer-supplier relationship changed dramatically with this new technology. Served as a founding director for the American National Standards Institute Committee DISA Secretariat, and as an advisor to the API Petroleum Industry Data Exchange (PIDX) EDI group.
