2. Lambaste –verb (used with object) 1. to beat or whip severely. 2. to reprimand or berate harshly; censure; excoriate. Her mother had to lambaste her for not following her instructions.
3. Impasse impasse –noun 1. a position or situation from which there is no escape; deadlock. Negotiators reached an impasse while trying to solve the cold case files.
4. Jargon noun 1. the language, especially the vocabulary, peculiar to a particular trade, profession, or group: medical jargon. 2. unintelligible or meaningless talk or writing; gibberish. My friends and I always use our own jargon for example “ Yo bro you good Yea imgucci”
5. Deter –verb 1. to discourage or restrain from acting or proceeding: The large dog deterred trespassers. 2. to prevent; check; arrest: timber treated with creosote to deter rot. While we were pulling up to the club, we saw two girls being deterred from the door.
6. tenuous adjective 1. thin or slender in form, as a thread. 2. lacking a sound basis, as reasoning; unsubstantiated; weak: a tenuous argument. The teacher brought in this this very tenuous dog, that we all thought he found in the street, on his way here.
7. VIGOROUS –adjective 1. full of or characterized by vigor: a vigorous effort. 2. strong; active; robust: a vigorous youngster.
8. Amity –noun 1. friendship; peaceful harmony Me and Tim amity is very strong outside of school.
9. gravitas –noun seriousness or sobriety, as of conduct or speech. The joker shows a lot of gravitas when he is speaking to a group of thugs.
10. emphatic –adjective 1. uttered, or to be uttered, with emphasis; strongly expressive. 2. using emphasis in speech or action. The store owner was acting emphatic towards, the little kid, because he didn’t want him to go to jail.
11. vehement –adjective 1. zealous; ardent; impassioned: a vehement defense; vehement enthusiasm. 2. characterized by rancor or anger; violent: vehement hostility. Me and Tim have vehement for the girl named Megan Fox.
12. preeminent adjective eminent above or before others; superior; surpassing: He is preeminent in his profession. The woman population is preeminent to the man population in the world.
13. resurgence adjective rising or tending to rise again; reviving; renascent. As the doctor tried his best to resurgent the patient, their was a lot of blood being lost.
