  4. The outputs • An online self-assessment tool • Resources including videos and case studies • Mobiles apps for potential trainees to judge eligibility

  5. Model • Four main sections • Start here • Delivery model • Work placements • Learner destinations • Each section has a set of categories or variables • Each category has a set of statements • Vulnerable and excluded groups are dealt with as a dimension

  6. How to use the tool • Staff can self-assess current practices in Traineeships • Contextualised links to resources to aid understanding of good practice • Staff can identify gaps, record evidence and monitor progress • Generate a report and action plan • Work in groups

  8. Eligibility • Applications often come from learners who do not qualify for a traineeship • .. despite the criteria being published • The criteria can be difficult to understand • Not everyone finds websites and documents easy to access • So ..
