Loan/Grant Eligibility RequirementsUp to $2,500 (subject to funds availability) • BIG member for at least two years (a letter of certification with chapter name and membership number, signed by local chapter president) • Copy of alleged adverse employment action as a result of a discrimination based, in part, on race or color. • Copy of evidence that an employment discrimination claim based on race or color has been filed.

  4. Loan/Grant Eligibility RequirementsUp to $2,500 (subject to funds availability) • Signed agreement to repay the loan/grant if the claim is successful. If claim is unsuccessful the funds provided becomes a grant to the BIG member. • Provide information about the law firm, attorney or legal clinic/legal assistance program that is representing the BIG member (include name, address, phone number, fax number and e-mail address).

  5. AAP Agreement Certifies that: • Applicant is a member in good standing of a BIG chapter for at least two years; • All documents and statements in the loan/grant packet are truthful and accurate; • Applicant will contact BIG Treasurer if claim is successful and arrange loan repayment. • BIG is authorized to correspond with legal representative about outcome of claim and repayment of loan. • BIG does not endorse or support the applicant’s claim or legal representative.

  6. AAP Authorization Authorizes: • BIG to correspond with legal representative about outcome of claim and repayment of loan. • Applicant’s legal representative to communicate with the National Organization of Blacks In Government Legal Review Committee or National Executive Committee regarding the outcome of applicant’s employment discrimination claim.
