Plan: Use my View Royal Buddy Reading Wiki to re-establish a Buddy Reading program at my school Purpose: - This will augment a leveled system that is already in place and was used at the school two years ago. - My plan is to have the Big Buddies trained on how to navigate through the Wiki in order to:

  3. 1. Have a talking book read to them 2. Big Buddy reads to or has Little Buddy read an online book 3. Play appropriate grade or subject games for free time

  4. Application: - the Wiki will likely be used once a week for the program and/or as a fun ending to the reading session. - In the Wiki there will be a rotating selection of books for the children to read. They will be embedded from Lookybook and Tumblebook.

  5. Professional Development and Sharing Plan: - Also part of my plan is to share 6 resources with my staff. They will be UDL and free! 1. Rubistar2. Wikipedia Simple3. HelpKidzLearn4. Lookybook5. MWSnap 6. MixBook - Another aspect of this portion of the plan is to continue to share with colleagues outside of the school especially other special education teachers. This will involve sharing the many free assistive technology resources that are available. I look forward to gaining more information from them as well as to what worked with their program or with specific students.

  6. My big Aha! I now have a huge list of FREE AT and UDL resources that are available for all learners. I look forward to sharing and to gaining more resources with the sharing process.
