Rapidly changing market demands are shifting businesses to become increasingly service-driven. Heterogeneous multi-vendor IT landscape leading to silos of business information. Management of services that are of varying standards and guidelines. SOA provides easily integration with third party service providers and as a result allows enterprises to organize their IT based on services rather than applications. Ability to reuse services and reduce costs of redevelopment and redeployment efforts. Introduction – Why SOA?
FSU’s implementation of Constituent Event Notification (primarily used for User Account Maintenance) using Integration Broker and Oracle Service Bus. Configurable routing based on message contents. Decoupling the routing, transformation, security, and transport details from the service consumers and providers and placing them within a custom configuration accessible to OSB. OSB – Content Based Routing
Loose coupling of services Any to any protocol, payload and security paradigm Service Enablement Location transparency Advanced integration patterns High availability and scalability Change management Benefits of using OSB with Integration Broker
