  3. R99 – Rel-5 Highlights • R99 • Category B spurious emission limits for TDD BS and repeater reflecting new limits agreed with CEPT/ECC • Rel – 4 • Rel – 5 • Correction to Node B test model • Corrections to low chip rate TDD HSDPA • Looking at a new method to measure the CQI reporting, this is probably take a few meetings to resolve RP-070277 Slide 2

  4. Rel-6 Highlights • TEI-6 RP-070277 Slide 3

  5. TEI - 7 • High speed train requirements • Uplink and downlink simulations completed • CRs with performance requirements approved • Correction of Test Case for Inter-system Handover from UTRAN FDD to GSM • Introduction of band X into the repeater specification • Repeater ACRR description • RRM test cases for UE with multiple receive antennas • Result of RAN 1 CR on linear average • Work needed to complete CR RP-070277 Slide 4

  6. TEI-8 • Proposal to add 15 code 16 QAM requirements • Request to spec clock accuracy on IuB • Passed to plenary for discussion of which working group this falls under RP-070277 Slide 5

  10. Others • CPC • Simulation results presented for ideal and implementation margin • Demod performance CR approved • 16 QAM uplink • Work proceeding • One more meeting cycle needed • 64 QAM downlink • Work proceeding • Performance CRs approved • Few issues – see status report • One more meeting cycle needed RP-070277 Slide 9

  11. MBSFN • New channel model under discussion • First set of simulations performed • Type 3i performance requirements • Discussed testing scenarios to reduce complexity • UMTS 1500 • TR approved • Enhanced cell FACH testing • Question over which release performance requirements should be in ? RP-070277 Slide 10

  12. Interference mitigation study item • Simulations showed limited performance improvements • Agreed no need to standardise performance • Home Node B • Work started • Conference call before the Orlando meeting to progress the work RP-070277 Slide 11

  13. LTE • Close to being on schedule • Channel options below 5 MHz • 1.4 MHz and 3 MHz proposed by a number of companies but not agreed • PHS co-existence • Still working on a solution • UE TR • Baseline transmitter requirements agreed • Baseline RF receiver performance agreed • Channel models agreed • Work plan for demodulation requirements agreed RP-070277 Slide 12
