Industry/Academic Collaboration • Open a dialogue with FDA about: • Use of open source software • Open architectures • Standards for interfaces/architectures • Robots • Imaging devices (esp. 2D/3D US) • Software toolkit for image guidance (beyond VTK and ITK) • Consolidation of efforts
