The current Metrolink network • Nearly 20 million passengers every year • Bury and Altrincham lines opened in 1992 • Eccles line opened in 2000 • Media City line opened in 2010 • South Manchester line to Chorlton opened Summer 2011 • Oldham and Rochdale line to Derker and Shaw and Crompton opened in December 2012 • East Manchester line to Droylsden February 2013 • South Manchester line to East Didsbury May 2013
East Manchester Line • 12 stops • Operational to Droylsden Town Centre • Operate to Ashton-under-Lyne in Winter 2013/2014 • Provides a frequent service to the Etihad Stadium, and later to Ashton Moss

Park and Ride • TfGM is expanding the Metrolink Park and Ride facilities across the existing and future network • The latest Park and Ride facility open at the East Didsbury stop on the East Didsbury Line, offering 300 free spaces to Metrolink passengers • TfGM is proposing to upgrade the Park and Ride facilities at Radcliffe and Whitefield on the Bury Line
