Locations and its Uniqueness The Taiga is located in North America, Europe, and Asia. The Taiga is very unique because it is cold almost all the time, which leads to patches of permafrost. While the Winters are long and dry summers are short(last 2-3 months) and wet.
What lives in the Taiga Many animals live in the Taiga. These include squirrels, deer, moles , bears, elk, moose, wolves, lynxes, ermine, snow shoe hare, many insects, birds and wolverines.
Biome Importance The Taiga is important because it has lots of wood and minerals in mines. It is also home to many plants and animals. Since the Taiga is so cold almost all the time the plants and animals need to adapt to the cold. The main tree that lives in the taiga is the conifer tree
