Performance Data • Family Groups • These are set by the Welsh Assembly based on placing schools within families of similarities and circumstances. For example, pupils receiving free school meals, pupils with special educational needs, etc. • CSI – Core Subject Indicator • Pupils who achieve level 4 or above in all core subjects are described as achieving the core subject indicator. • This is an important figure for the school community, because it shows the school’s success in raising standards across all subject areas.
Quartile Ranking • Quartiles • Theseare categories of performance. • Schools that are in the highest performing 25% of the family group are placed in Quartile 1 and the lowest performing 25% in Quartile 4
Data Analysis • The Data demonstrates that we have three main areas for improvement: • Developing standards of Literacy across the school. • Develop standards of Science across the school. • Improve provision for more able and talented in order to raise L5 performance in all core subject areas. • Develop and improve our tracking, planning and assessment systems throughout the school

PTFA • We are extremely grateful once again for the help and support provided to the school by the P.T.F.A. The pupils have enjoyed a number of social events during the year and fundraising efforts have benefited the pupils in many ways: • New equipment – iPads, Imac and Apple TV • Contributions to school fund for subsidising educational visits. • Providing resources to develop Core Subjects • Active support in enhancing school premises - Climbing Trail. • Many thanks to all P.T.F.A. members past and present for their efforts.
