TIF Program • Allocation for year 1: $288,000 • TIF dollars are based on Title I and the number of employees at eligible schools • Eligible Schools: • MHS • MMS • Phillips • Harmar • Washington Putnam will receive their incentive dollars from Race to the Top Assurance Area D allocations.
Challenges • Rules for the grant were specific • 50% of payouts must be based on “student growth” • $184,200 of our $288,000 is based on student growth • Recipients must be certified, contracted employees of Marietta City Schools who provide instruction during 50% of their day. • Year 1 dollars must be spent and NOT rolled over • Notice the DRAFT watermark!!
TIF Guidelines for 2011-2012: Document #1 WE WILL REWARD WHAT WE VALUE • Collaboration and cooperation • Teacher and administrator professional growth • High Levels of Student Achievement • Teachers and administrators who assume leadership roles • District vision and collective commitments (orange papers)
This amount can change based upon buildings who meet their requirements. TIF Payout Grid: Document #2 A $500 incentive will be paid for “At” expected growth at the building level. A $2000 incentive will be paid for “Above” expected growth at the building level.
Eligibility Sheet : Document #4 (two pages) • This helps define the responsibilities of the leadership roles. • These jobs may now require additional responsibilities due to the TIF payout. • Documentation will be key.
Marietta’s OIP Goals: Document #6 • The district’s OIP goals are to used for the creation of the SMART goals. They focus on achievement. In order for our students to reach their achievement level, they must grow academically.
HELP! Is scheduled for each building • Washington: August 30th, 12:10-3:30 and August 31st, 8:30-12:10 • Putnam: September 1st, 1:30-3:30 • Harmar: September 8th, 8:30-12:45 • Phillips: September 9th, 9:15-11:45 and September 12th, 12:30-4:00
