  1. WELCOME TO THE PARENTS’ MEETING FOR THEYR 9 PARIS/EURODISNEY Educational Visit 2017 Thu 27th April – Monday 1st May

  3. DEPARTURE: • Thursday 27th April • Meet at Boundary Road at 12.45 • Loading coach at 12.50 • Departure 13.00 hrs promptly! • Immediate family only please! (no pets)

  4. LUGGAGE: • One medium size case / combination lock • Bring backpack or easily carried bag to use during outings and on the coach • Make sure you have a SAFE way of carrying your purse and valuables. • Teachers are not responsible for loss of valuables and money.

  5. Outgoing travel: Channel crossing: Dover /Calais Dinner on ferry: allow £20 for it Check in at the: Dream Castle Hotel Eurodisney

  6. RETURN: Monday 1st May • Leaving the Eurodisney hotel at 9.00 am. • Estimated time of arrival (Boundary Road) at 21.00 hrs. • Please collect your daughter promptly we ALL need to get home for a rest! • Girls and staff are expected to ATTEND SCHOOL on Tuesday 2nd May.

  10. Friday 28th April 2017 • At the hotel you’ll receive a pack containing passes for the Disneyland Park.

  14. Sunday 30th April 2017 • Breakfast in the hotel @ 9.00 am. • Leave the hotel @ 10.00 am • Mini cruise & Lunch on the river Seine @ 12:45 • PM: Visit Montmartre (Sacre Coeur/Artists’ Square) • Mass: “Sacre Coeur” @ 6.00pm • Dinner in Paris • Paris by night

Monday 1st May 2017 • Breakfast in the hotel @ 8.00 am • Following breakfast please check out of your rooms and load your bags onto the coach ready for your journey home. • Leave the hotel @ 9.00 am • Shopping at Galeries Lafayette@ 11.00am • Leave Paris @ 15:00hrs • Back to Upminster @ 21.00 hrs approx

  16. SAFETY & SECURITY • On the coach: It is imperative to have seat belts on at all times. Do not put the lives of accompanying staff at risk! • Be considerate of the driver, don’t make unnecessary noise and keep the coach clean. When reminded to be quiet stop! • At hotel – keep rooms TIDY. Be considerate of other guests. • Personal – follow the same personal safety rules as you would in England. DO NOT GIVE TELEPHONE NUMBERS or the name of our hotel to anyone you meet. • Possessions –Don’t bring expensive jewellery or other valuable items – YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE!

  17. MONEY • What’s included – FULL BOARD • How much to bring? Up to you – allow enough for extra drinks and ice-creams. You are responsible for your money! • Need to bring enough money to buy food on outgoing & return journey. • Get your Euros in advance - no commission at Tesco Bank. • LOOK AFTER IT!! Ideally have it in waistband • €50 note for hotel damage deposit to: Mrs. Esposito/Miss Amato in person.

  18. INSURANCE / PASSPORT • School insurance, as for all trips! • European Health Card for EU medical insurance! • Do not forget to hand in your passport at the Parents’ meeting on March 27th!!!!

  19. BEHAVIOUR: • Very high standards are expected as usual • At hotel and during all visits/outings • Strictly no smoking, alcohol, drugs • Usual school sanctions will apply • Any miscreant will fly home at Parents’ expense • Parents and Mrs O’Neill will be informed immediately!!! But it won’t happen, will it?

Reply slips must be returned signed by parents to Mrs Esposito a.s.a.p please !!!! • Home and emergency telephone numbers and medical information (allergies/ current medication, etc )to be handed to Mrs Esposito at the Parents’meeting (Please state if vegetarian!) • Immediate family only at school drop-off/ pick up • Give your passport and health card to: Mrs Esposito / Miss Amato in person . • Keep driver happy and treat coach with respect • No food/sweets, drinks (except water) chewing gum, mess, screaming allowed on board) • Money (Euros) – to be kept in waistband, not purse or handbag, no recommendation on amount to take. Be vigilant and check your change. You are responsible! • Bring costume jewellery – not gold/ valuable items • Bring medium size suitcases with combination locks!

  21. Items to bring: mixture of clothes for all weathers – not just shorts! cardigan / jumper for evening / scarf/ gloves/ waterproof jacket sensible shoes/ trainers watch/camera/i-pod / MP3 players/DVDs (no higher than 12 rating) sun cream/ sunglasses / cap travel cushion/tissues basic first aid kit, including plasters/ travel sickness tablets/lozengers something smart suitable for church (Mass at Sacre Coeur) No: shorts/miniskirts/leggings/sleeveless or see-through tops No:sandals for travelling No: spray deodorants/ roll-on please No: pijamas/leggings for travelling/wear track suits please

  22. You are responsible for your own valuables and money! • Take any worries or concerns about any aspect of the trip to your group leader or to Mrs Esposito. • Be prompt for all meetings and particularly coach departure times. • Timekeeping – listen to instructions, be punctual at all times and keep to bed times…OR ELSE! • Accommodation – Report any damage as soon as practical. Be considerate of other guests (no shouting, screaming, running, banging etc.) Keep rooms tidy (store suitcases away, do not leave towels on the floor, no food/sweets , etc.) Do not use towels to remove make-up or you’ll have to pay to replace them. • Do not give telephone numbers or name of hotel to anyone you meet • We are ‘in loco parentis’ so strictly no alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, and inappropriate behaviour with boys – school rules apply. Mrs O’Neill and parents will be informed immediately. • Finally, make the most of this wonderful opportunity and have fun!

Year 9 Educational Visit to Paris / Eurodisney 2017All pupils MUST hand in their passport and health card at the Parents’ meeting . €50 note hotel damage deposit must be handed in to Mrs Esposito / Miss Amato in person ASAPThe groups are for register purposes only. Your group leader is who you must report to any time you need to check in during the trip.
