CONTEXT-AWARE INFORMATION ”Context is any information that can be used to characterize the situation of an entity. An enitiy is a person, place or object that is considered relevant to the interaction between the user and an application, including the user and applications themselves” (Dey, June 1999) USE OF CONTEXT-AWARE INFORMATION IN THE HOSPITAL • Location: Indoor positioning – sensors • Calendar:User’s calendar, group calendar etc. • Sessions:Call sessions, instant message session, real-time sessions etc. • Role: Trained nurse, doctor etc. • Presence Types: ”Free”, ”Busy with patient”, ”Meeting”, ”Lunch”, ”Emergency”, ”Offline”
