Background INTRODUCTION • DOSM collect data from primary/ • secondary sources relates • to energy i.e: • coal, petroleum • gas • electricity, chilled water for • air conditioning • biomass • import/export on energy • Compilation on energy balance • was done by Energy Commision (EC) • Statutory body responsible for regulating the energy • sector particularly the electricity supply • and piped gas supply industries • Obtained data from various Ministry/ • Agency

  4. Classification Used For Data Compilation • Classification used for data compilation are Malaysia Standard Industrial Classification (MSIC) 2008 ver 1.0 which conform to the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Industries (ISIC) rev. 4. at 4 digit level
