Susan M Taylor Former Deputy Chief Procurement Officer Susan M. Taylor is the former Deputy Chief Procurement Officer for the Federal Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. Before she retired from the post in November of 2014, she worked with hundreds of contracting officers around the country to provide services and supplies to hundreds of veterans’ hospitals and clinics nationwide. Taylor spent 29 years working for the Federal Government, the last 15 of which in management and executive positions.

Taylor worked in the Department of Veterans Affairs for over four years as its Deputy Chief Procurement Officer for the Veterans Health Administration in Washington, DC. Taylor led a Procurement Department of 2800 contracting officials around the country, procuring services and supplies for 153 veterans’ hospitals and hundreds of veterans’ clinics. During her time there, until her retirement from its leadership position in late 2014, the department made annual procurements of over $15 billion.

She worked for as the Director of Contracting for Ginnie Mae, a contracting agency within the Department of Housing and Urban Development for eight years. She retired in November of 2014.
