  3. More Facts • Her mother was not in good mental health, and her father was an abusive alcoholic. • When their family was in Worcester they had 2 more children. • Dorothea had to take care of her younger siblings.

  4. Life in Dorothea’s household • Dorothea’s household was “unstable.” • The members in her family didn’t get along well. • Fighting took place in her household a lot. • When the fighting got out of control, she would go to her grandmothers house.
