The 6th World Conference for Graduate Research in Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure 24 – 29 April 2012, Fethiye,Turkey Charles Goeldner: • Professor emeritus of tourism and marketing at the University of Colorado, Boulder. • His over 200 publications include “Tourism: Principles,Practices, Philosophies, 12th edition” and “Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Research: AHandbook, 2nd edition”. • He founded the “Journal of Travel Research”in 1972 and served as editor for over 30 years. • He is widely recognized for his work with the ski industry and the tourism industry. • TTRA has designated its annual “Journal of Travel Research” best article of the year award the “Charles R. Goeldner Article of Excellence Award.” • He is listed in Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who in America.
