  1. Commercial Mapping Products GuidelineCMPG Ad Hoc Team Report ASPRS Hot Topic San Diego Conference

  2. Representation • The Ad Hoc team for the CMPG has made significant progress since the last report. • The team is made up of representation at all levels of government and commercial segments. • We have received inputs from all tiers of government and commercial data users and providers. • Our intent is to be assured that the best practices from these tiers are incorporated.

  3. Reference Material • The document has attempted to include some of the best of breed procurement documentation materials from: • Commercial • County • State • Federal • We have focused on agencies that have made commercial product and service procurements successfully • We have utilized many of the state procurement policies available online as additional resources • The FAR has also been included to insure compliance with federal regulations.

  4. Multiple phases to reach the final deliverable • A series of telecon and face to face meetings have been held to discuss the goals and text in the plan • Documents have been collected from across this industry and others • A compilation of the best of material is near completion • This and the QBS Guideline will act as the raw materials for the CMPG

  5. Activity • The team has completed its document gather phase and is down adding the “best of” content to the CMPG. • Inputs have been made using the QBS Guideline as a format template as appropriate • Our goal is immediately after the San Diego ASPRS to create our web site under ASPRS PPD, formalize the team and place the first draft online for comment.
