  2. être: to be • Je suis Nous sommes I am We are • Tu es Vous êtes You are You (plural/formal)are • Il/elle/on est Ils/elles sont He/she/one is They(boys/girls) are The verb être is used to describe people (personality and physically). Note that ‘it’s’ in French is: ‘c’est’ (pronunced: say)

  4. Regular Adjectives • 1.  Adjective endings change2.  masc + e = fem3.  sing + s = plur4.  Nationalities are adjectives     in French and are not     capitalized5.  Plural "s" is not pronounced
