  2. For this session holiday price means the money is needed for a holiday. Exchange rates means how do you make sure you have enough money for spending in the right currency. This term we are going to check our progress slightly differently! You are going to be learning about how to live in the culture outside of school! To check progress you will use the map each lesson to mark on prior knowledge, knowledge after lesson and a WWW/EBI at the end of each lesson! Let’s get started! Become a holiday planner… Dream holiday or holiday-on-a-budget?! • In your pairs use the following pages to plan a holiday for two adults. • Your holiday can last as long or as short as you like but plan wisely. • You must: • Choose one location (anywhere in the world) • Choose a board option (what food will you have?) • Choose as many items from the packing list as you wish • Stick to the weight that you pay for on the plane • Plan an itinerary for each day

  6. Ann is going to Spain on holiday and changes £200  to euros. How many euros does she get? STEP 1: FIND THE EXCHANGE RATE IN THE TABLE STEP 2: INSERT AMOUNTS INTO THE FORMULA FOREIGN CURRENCY= BRITISH CURRENCY x EXCHANGE RATE AMOUNT OF EUROS = £200 x 1.58 AMOUNT OF EUROS = € 316 £200 = €316

  8. Plenary- Looking ahead… Dave returns from Switzerland with 55 Euros. He changes the Euros back to British money. How much does he get back?
