One rainy, dull day, my mum was out shopping with my sisters and my dad was at work. I was inside my house in the lounge watching some TV. I shuffled over to the phone. I speedily rang one of my friends. Two minutes later I heard a loud knock at the door. Slowly I trudged to the door.
I was turning the handle very slowly wondering who that could be. My friend sprinted through the door as quick as a flash of lightning. “Want a game of cricket?” my friend said. “Yeah” I said. We looked for a soft ball but we couldn't find one so we used a hard ball.
We saw an antique table around so we played away from that for safety. Later that day I was losing. The score was 110-80 to my friend . I hit another run which almost hit the table. “Whew!” I said.
I was still way behind. I hit the ball really hard. Crack! The antique table had split perfectly in half. “Oh no, mum will be really angry” I said. I sent my friend home.
So now here I am shivering nervously under my bed waiting to be grounded. My mum’s footsteps boomed up the steps. • “Oh no I’m in big trouble now.
