Alcohol Plus!!! Ecstasy: Greatly increases the risk for dehydration, which could ultimately result in heat stroke or death. Additional risks can include vomiting, visual hallucinations, kidney failure, and elevated blood pressure.
Alcohol Plus!!! Antihistamines: (i.e.- Claritin D, Benadryl) Increases the calming effect of the medication and the person can feel quite drowsy, making driving and other activities that require concentration more hazardous.
Alcohol Plus!!! Aspirin/Tylenol: May increase the absorption rate of alcohol, heightening the effects of a give dose of alcohol. May cause bleeding in the stomach and intestines. Can also increase susceptibility to liver damage.
Alcohol Plus!!! Oral Contraceptives: Slows down the rate at which alcohol is eliminated from the body. You can feel the effects of alcohol for a longer period of time. Can make medication less effective because of human error.
Alcohol Plus!!! Marijuana: Produces slowed thinking and reaction time with impaired balance and coordination. This may compromise the user’s ability to drive and operate machinery. Reduces the vomit reflex, increasing the risk of alcohol poisoning.
