2014 Law Day Art Contest Rules • All participants must be (a) an Active Duty, Air National Guard, or Reserve Component Servicemember stationed at JBSA–Lackland; (b) a child of a parent who falls into category (a); or (c) a DoD civilian working at JBSA–Lackland. • All entries must relate in some way to this year’s National Law Day theme – “Why Every Vote Matters.” • Common art supplies may be used (crayons, pencils, markers, paints, chalk, ink, etc.). • All entries must be hand-delivered no later than 3:00 p.m. on 15 May 2014 at 1701 Kenly Avenue, Room 125, JBSA-Lackland, Texas 78236. • Only one 8½” x 11” piece of paper will be accepted from each participant/artist. One side of the page will contain the completed entry form, and the reverse side of the page will contain the art work. No entry may exceed the 8½” x 11” measurement. An entry form may be picked up from the Legal Office, Room 125, and may be copied and shared with other eligible participants. Each participant must certify that s/he actually created the art work. Parents must certify their child’s entry form. If the entry form/art does not conform to these rules, the entry will be disqualified. • Participants will be judged in the following age categories: 5→10, 11→20, 21→40, and 41→Up. First, Second and Third place ribbons will be awarded in each age category. • Winners will be notified by personal email address or phone. • Winners must agree to allow their art to be published in any medium (news print, social media, etc.). • Winning entries will be displayed in the JBSA–Lackland Legal Office from 1-30 June 2014. All remaining art work will be available for pick up on June 5-6 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Any remaining art work will be discarded.
