Ways to Predict & MinimizeDropout Rate on Completion/Graduation Rate • Review Dropout PEIMS data submission for 04-05, 05-06, 07-08,… • Verify the cohort status of all active students and insure newly registered students are also identified by cohort • Research how many students from previous PEIMS submissions have been reenrolled using PET • Verify the status of years left for students who can be recovered • Accelerated/Recovery Programs

Critical Questions • Have campus personnel been trained in PEIMS software? • Do campus personnel know the deadlines? • Do Campus personnel know the PEIMS guidelines? • Are campuses using district approved forms to document leaver codes • Can your campus withstand an audit? • Does district have written policy on who is designated as “authorized school personnel”?
