CAT 2019 Exam Details If a particular individual in India wants to pursue a business management course like MBA or PGDM, they are mostly interested to complete their degree from the most prestigious universities like IIMs. So to apply for the admission in IIMs, the candidate should clear CAT (Common Entrance Test) Examination which is conducted by the IIMs to select only the deserved applicant who have worked really hard to achieve it. The exam takes place in two sessions and there are about 140 exam centers where the examination takes place. Eligibility Criteria The candidate is required to have completed their bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks. There is no age restriction to apply for the exam. How to apply for the exam All the interested candidates can apply for the exam via the official website. Tentative dates for Official notification and application form availability has been declared as July 29th 2019 and August 8th 2019.One need to register first and then by logging in with the user-id and password you will be prompted to complete the application form as per instructed in the procedure. The application fee will be 1800 INR for general and OBC while rest will have to pay 900 INR. Exam Pattern The exam is completely computer based and objective & subjective type questions are asked summing a total of 100 question. Each correct answer carries 3 marks where no negative marks are given to subjective type question but there will be deduction of 1 mark in MCQs if the answer is wrong. The total time duration for the examination is 3 hours.
