Options and Opportunities! • You have a great opportunity to earn free college credits! • JMCSS has partnered with University of Memphis-Lambuth and an organization called “Modern States” to offer you online access to college courses. • You can earn college credits by taking classes at your own pace and taking a CLEP test.
What are CLEP Tests? • CLEP stands for “College Level Examination Program” • If you pass a CLEP test, you can receive college credit for that course at a college/university that accepts CLEP credits. • There are over 30 college-level courses that have CLEP tests.
Why take courses with CLEP tests? • If you pass the CLEP tests, it can save you thousands of dollars in college tuition. • You can work at your own pace as you prepare to take the test. • You can earn extra college credits while you are still in high school. • Make sure you check with the college/university you are interested in to ensure they accept the CLEP tests you are thinking about taking.
