  2. 1-South Asia Earthquake • MSFB Container hospital Winterized tents • MSFF Inflatable tent hospital • MSFH Winterized tents

  3. Container hospital • Complete field hospital 62x20’’,17x16" from Slovenia to be installed in Bagh • 850 m2 • 26 will leave by boat soon • Remaining containers will be ready for 23rd of December • Second load of containers will be send by plane • Truss + roof will be build for snow

  4. Inflatable tents • New product for MSF (in white) • Not yet tested • Expensive • Do be re-deployed • Water network still to be designed

  5. MSFB Winterised tents • Tents made in China • Direct order from field to China • Size weight prices

  6. 1.      Dimension: 12m2. • 2.      Ground sheet included. • 3.      Insulated for temperatures to -30º Celsius. • 4.  Metal frame to support the tent, including tightening strips. • 5.      Fire resistant fabrics to be used, data sheets to be provided by manufacturer. • 6.      One door, four windows with cover, a ventilation hole and a chimney hole are foreseen. • 7.      One tent is packed in two parcels, one bag for the fabric, one carton box for the metal frame. • 8.      Manual in pictogram style for easy set up. • All material for safe set up are included, picks, ropes, hammer

  7. MSFF/H tent • All Weather tent 4x4 - mod 2 • Ref : UN 27162011 • Specs : 6-10 pers. Comfort family refugee tent, • Enhance performance in cold and hot climates • Can be used single fold or double fold • Sizes : tent - 500x400x220cm H. (wall : 120cm H) • Inner tent – 400x380x210cm, (wall 110 cm H) • Surface : tent 16 sqm, vestibule 3 sqm, awning 2 sqm • Material : tent 380 gsm cotton fabric • Inner tent 200 gsm cotton • Ground sheet woven HDPE 200 gsm

  9. Why NFI in MSF ? • We are a medical organisation but, • NFI are part of the response of the top 10 priorities listed in our Refugee Health guideline • Sometimes no other actors • So we decided to create an internal working group

  10. On going process • NFI and distribution strategy memo by MSFB • New familly kits prototype (video) • Operational will to stockpile kits • Creation of kits lists to help adapting kits to local needs • Next step….

  12. What’s next ? • Publish first version next year including all comments received from field, headquarters and others…. • Field testing • New shade net specs • Other research ?
