The new EU system: Two pillars (Regulation 1592/2002) The Agency Regulations at European level Products (type) and Organisations certification Standardisation The National authorities Implementation of European rules at national level Individual airworthiness certificates Approvalsof national organisations + personnel
2. Our remit: New tasks proposed by the European Commission • Operations, • Flight Crew Licensing, • Certification of non-EU operators (“EU Part 129”) …by end of 2007/2008 • Airports, ATM from 2010
