  4. Direcciones Básicas de Referencia NORTE GEOGRAFICO (NG): Es la dirección del Polo Norte Terrestre; se utiliza en los levantamientos de gran precisión. Para fines militares no es muy usado. Los Meridianos de las cartas siguen esta dirección.

  9. Direcciones Básicas de Referencia NORTE MAGNETICO (NM):Es la dirección del polo Norte Magnético Terrestre. Para fines militares es el más usado, porque se puede determinar rapidamente por la Brújula. 70° Lat. Norte 96° Long. Oeste

  12. Direcciones Básicas de Referencia NORTE RETICULAR (NR): Es la dirección de las líneas verticales de las cartas y mapas militares. La ventaja es que las líneas son equidistantes.

  15. LECTURA DE CARTAS DIRECCIONES BÁSICAS DE REFERENCIA DECLINACIÓN: NINGUNA DE LAS TRES DIRECCIONES BÁSICAS CONSIDERADAS COINCIDE, EXISTE UNA DESVIACIÓN EN RAZÓN A LA DIFERENCIA DE DIRECCIÓN DE LOS NORTES GEOGRAFICOS Y RETICULARES. ESTA DESVIACIÓN TIENE EL NOMBRE DE DECLINACIONES.

LECTURA DE CARTAS DIRECCIONES BÁSICAS DE REFERENCIA DIAGRAMA DE DECLINACIÓN: ES LA FIGURA QUE LAS CARTAS MILITARES LLEVAN IMPRESO AL MARGEN, FORMADA POR TRES (03) LÍNEAS QUE SEÑALAN LAS DIRECCIONES PRINCIPALES DE LOS NORTES GEOGRÁFICOS, MAGNÉTICOS Y RETICULARES. GENERALMENTE SUS ÁNGULOS SE DIBUJAN CON UNA GRAN PRECISIÓN, POR LO CUAL PUEDEN EMPLEARSE PARA TRABAJOS GRÁFICOS SOBRE LA CARTA.

  17. Direcciones Básicas de Referencia DIAGRAMA DE DECLINACION:es una figura formada por tres (03) líneas que señalan las direcciones principales de los Nortes Geográficos, Magnéticos y Reticulares. Y NV NM 12´56´´ 07°37´ Declinación Magnetica Centro de la Carta 07°49´W Variación Anual +8´18´´
