Aims To enable every learner (pupils and teachers) in Scotland to benefit from an international education in order to: • develop knowledge and understanding of the world and Scotland’s place in it. • develop the knowledge, understanding, skills, values and attitudes to participate actively in a global world Learning and Teaching Scotland

International learning experiences • provide experiences which stimulate reflection on own and other ways of doing things • develop new knowledge and understanding • enable professional discussions with others, and learning from one another by sharing of practice • build communication and interpersonal skills and confidence Learning and Teaching Scotland
International learning experiences • support links between staff and/or schools • contribute to CPD portfolio • lead to enhanced qualifications through accreditation • develop improvement in learning and teaching in schools/local authorities through implementation of actions following visits by staff.
