  2. Constructed Response Assignment Write a constructed response essay about a character in the short story Two Words by Isabelle Allende. See rubric for details about grading.

Name_____________ Period #____2.3 Constructed Response Rubric 1 point each : • Organization • Introductory sentence and conclusion sentence. • All sentences on topic. • MLA heading, Times New Roman, Size 12, Double Spaced. • Active Voice / appropriate diction/ sentence variety • Evidence Cited from the source. Writing based on textual evidence. • Grammar and spelling. Writing Process must be shown to be graded.

Your Constructed Response • Intro sentence (In your first sentence, name the play, the author, and the topic of your paragraph) • Write a sentence to describe what the character looks like. • Write a sentence to describe what the character does. And give a quote as evidence. • Write a sentence to tell about the people in the life of the character. • Write a sentence to tell about a conflict the character faces. • Write a sentence to tell your opinion of the character. • Write a sentence to talk about the end of the story and the outcome of the character or the part that player had in the outcome of the story. • Truism • In “Two Words” by Isabelle Allende, ___________ is a ____________ character.
