E. coli. Disgusting. Yuck!. By me. WHAT HAPPENED??????. At the Barrow county fair,an E. coli outbreak started.People in the Barrow county and Jamestown started getting sick. So,what the heck is E. coli?. E. coli is a nasty disease that neither you nor me wants.

  2. WHAT HAPPENED?????? • At the Barrow county fair,an E. coli outbreak started.People in the Barrow county and Jamestown started getting sick.

  3. So,what the heck is E. coli? • E. coli is a nasty disease that neither you nor me wants. • Some symptoms are severe stomach cramps and stomach tenderness,diarrhea(often becoming very bloody.),along with nausea and vomiting. • E. coli is short for Escherichia coli.

The people. • Jennifer Hallon-Attended the fair,played duck pond game,ate a hamburger,went to petting zoo and pony ride,had diarrhea and stomach cramps. • Donna Jones-Was at Baptist church camp on Friday,ate elephant ears brought home by her brother,symptoms had diarrhea,stomach cramps,and vomiting. • Mrs. McCoy-NOT ill,attended the fair,ate a hamburger. • Johnathan Miller-Attended the fair,played the basketball,ping pong ball(or fish game.),and ring the bell game.Ate elephant ears and hamburger,went to the cattle barn,symptoms were diarrhea and stomach cramps. • Mr. Black-Attended the fair,didn’t play games,but mentioned watching for a while at ring the bell game.Symptoms were diarrhea,stomach cramps,and fever. • David Jones-Attended the fair,played the ping pong ball game,ate homemade ice cream and elephant ears,went to the cattle barn.Symptoms were diarrhea and stomach cramps. • Mary Smith-Attended the fair,ate hamburger and homemade ice cream.Went to pony ride.Symptoms were diarrhea and stomach cramps. • Charlie Thompson-Didn’t attend fair,was grounded.Symptoms were diarrhea and stomach cramps. • Eileen Bradley-Attended the fair.Played ping pong game,ate homemade ice cream and hamburger.Went to the pony ride.Symptoms were diarrhea and stomach cramps. • LuAnne Brown-Attended the fair,ate ice cream,elephant ears,and hamburger.Went to pony ride.Symptoms were stomach cramps and vomiting. • Allen Johnson-NOT ill,attended fair,played all games,ate all food,went to all animal areas.No symptoms. • Anthony Green-attended fair,played duck pond game,ate homemade ice cream and elephant ears.Went to the pony ride.Symptoms were diarrhea and stomach cramps.

The people part 2! • Susie Thompson-She was at Baptist church camp.Charlie,who feel in a pond,hugged her.Symptoms were diarrhea and stomach cramps. • Mr. McCoy-Didn’t attend fair.Ate elephant ears brought home by his wife.Symptoms were diarrhea stomach cramps. • Donna Black-Attended fair with Mr. Black.Played basketball game.Symptoms were diarrhea and stomach cramps. • Bruce Donaldson-Attended fair,played basketball and ring the bell game.Ate ice cream and hamburger sandwich.Went to the pony ride.Symptoms were diarrhea,stomach cramps and vomiting. • Darryl Harper-Attended fair,played duck pond and basketball games,ate a hamburger,went to the cattle barn.Symptoms were diarrhea and stomach cramps.

  7. How do you get E. coli? • You get it from e. coli tainted food. • You also get it from animals,e. coli in water,other people who have it,anything that E. coli can get into.Be cautious with stagment water.E. coli can be in there.

  8. How do you prevent it? • Keep pool water out of your mouth. • Wash hands after handling raw meat. • Drink pasteurized beverages only. • Undercooked burgers must be sent back. • Use different plates when burning meat.

  9. How to get rid of it. • One way is make heated food at high temps. • Or,wash an area with contamination.Both can be risky for your health. • Or,let it go away on its own.

  10. Where did the town get it? • They probably got it from the fair.It was probably from Sam and Ella’s beefy burgers stand,the animals,the games,or the elephant ears.

  11. How to prevent everyone from getting it. • They must consult as many hospitals as possible to get the right treatment. • Or,they should do the things listed in get rid of it.

  12. Next year,fair needs to… • Remove Sam and Ella’s beefy burgers vendor. • Not sell elephant ears. • Remove animals with E. coli.
