  2. What is the Difference between Science Club and Science National Honor Society?

Board Members • Advisors: Mrs. HD and Dr. Glenn • President: Rianna • Vice President: Kelsey • Vice President of SC: Munna • Secretary: Patricia and Yasir • Chairmen of Recycling: Isabel • Chairmen of Service: Danny • Chairmen of Competitions: Annelle and Victor • Historian: Alison • Public Relations: Sedric

  4. SNHS Requirements • Must attend 4/7lectures • Must recycle at least TWICEevery semester • You are allowed to miss 2 meetings per semester, but must still attend 4/7lectures • Attain a total of 15 club hours (Recycling and tutoring hours can be used towards Graduation Hours) • Maintain GPA at a 3.0 and B+ average in all science classes • Must attend at least 1 service event • Must attend at least 1competition ** We will be informing you of upcoming events through email**

Lecture Dates • September 30th (Tuesday)= Yasir and Patricia • October 21st (Tuesday)= Alison Smith • November 13th( Thursday)= Annelle and Victor • January 22nd (Thursday)= Sedric and Munna • February 24th (Tuesday) = Danny and Isabel • March 31st (Tuesday)= Kelsey • April 16th (Thursday)= Rianna *** Subject to Change***

  6. Upcoming Service Events • Hollywood Beach Clean-up on September 20th • Science Days • Herb Garden at PPCHS • Butterfly Garden • Volunteer Group Projects for the National Parks Service

  7. Upcoming Competitions • Science Bowl: TBA • Science Olympiad • Only 15 people are allowed to participate • It will be on February 7th, a Saturday • Chemistry Olympiad: TBA • National Science Bowl: TBA

  8. Hour Earning Opportunities • Tutoring after school (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) - 1 hour each time you tutor - Days TBA • Recycling- 1 hour each time you recycle • Coming to lectures- 1 hour • Coming to regular meetings- ½ hour If you are in Science Club, you can still earn recycling and tutoring hours too!!!
