A Threefold Cord • Because of my commitment to my spouse… • I will love her as I love myself and put her interests before my own. • I will respect her and give her honor. • I will seek to solve disagreements, admit when I am wrong, and be quick to forgive. • I will give her the affection she deserves.

A Threefold Cord • Because of my personal relationship with God… • I will submit to His plan for my marriage. • I will do my part even if my spouse does not reciprocate. • I will not take the easy way out of a tough situation. • Heaven is my focus, and my marriage will be a help not a hindrance to that goal.
