A&R MPT Application Setup The A&R MPT can be installed on any Windows based PC running Windows XP or Windows 2000. The software is delivered in the ARMPT.zip file. Locate the .ZIP file “Release” on the terminal/screen of the computer. Double click the “release” folder to open zip file
A&R MPT Application Setup • The file should be unzipped and then the setup.exe should be found in the WinZip tool. • The installation screens will walk the installer through the process. • Open the setup file, by double clicking on “setup.exe” file.
Executing the A&R MPT application Click the Next button, once this window is open on the terminal/screen.
Installation of the Application User should accept all defaults and click the next button, the default location is shown in folder block.
Installation Confirmation The “confirmation installation” screen, prompts the user that the installation process will begin once the “next” button is clicked. Click “next”.
Installation in Progress Indicates that the A&R MPT application is being installed.
Installation is Complete A&R MPT application installation is completed. Click the “close” button to complete the application installation.
Open the “WWW” Folder Locate the Warrior Web Warpers (WWW) folder in the Program Files . Open the file (double click the folder) for “Air Search and Rescue Mission Planning Tool”.
Opening the A&R MPT Application Open the application file by “double-clicking” on ARMPT Project file
Logging into the A&R MPT system Log-in screen The user (Aircrew) enters’ their “user name” (ID) and “password” and then clicks the “OK” button. Click the “cancel” button if you do not want to log into the system application.
Logging into the A&R MPT system If the “user name” or “password” are incorrect, the system will prompt the user that an invalid ID or password was entered.
Logging into the A&R MPT system The administrator logs on as admin and password = password on initial use of the A&R MPT Windows application. The administrator will then click OK button. This action will bring up Input Data screen. Administrator then clicks on Security text box at top left corner of the Input Data screen. This action opens up the Registration table.
User Registration (Admin and Aircrew) The administrator can then assign passwords to the aircrew, and can update the admin password and assign Admin rights to other Administrators by checking the Admin Type box next to their user ID and password row.. The administrator should check the checkbox to the right of his name and password row. This action will give him full administration rights.
User Input Data Screen The user (Aircrew) enters “data” into this screen to begin the search. He can also recall previous missions with the View Previous Output button Then the user will click on the “compute” button, and be presented with a Mission number and Grid Number screen.
Input Mission Number When the correct mission number and Grid Number are entered, click the “enter” button. This will generate the output data screen.
Mission Number and/or GRID Number Entry Error If an error in entering Mission Number or GRID Number an error will be generated and the screen below will appear. Hit ok and try to correct the input error on previous screen and then click enter
A&R MPT Data Output Screen This “output data screen” is generated with the information from inserted input data. Click “Print” to generate the “kneeboard” sized output data.
System Data Printout A printout (hardcopy) of the mission plan data is completed.
Print selection The Aircrew and Administrator can print the calculated search plan for use by performing the following steps... Step 1: Click symbol to right of Print symbol and it will open and allow selection of the Landscape or Portrait view. Select Landscape and 8-1/2 x 11 paper size. This is the Print Setup Screen Step 2: Then select printer symbol at top left corner of the Mission Plan screen and mission plan will print.
Results of the Print selection The user shall click on the “OK” button to print the output .
