  1. Recommended Internet Explorer 7 Browser Settings (1 of 10) The settings recommended in this tutorial are for accessing/using eCampus. You may want to use higher Security and Privacy settings when accessing other sites. When accessing eCampus, it is best NOT to use a “customized browser” such as AOL, Juno, MSN, NetZero, SBC, Yahoo, etc. • Before taking an Exam/Test/Quiz, etc., it is best to • check your browser’s settings; • turn offall pop-up blockers. If your browser’s settings are not set up correctly, you will not see the test timer (found on the status bar, bottom left.)

  2. Recommended Internet Explorer 7 Browser Settings (2 of 10) 1. Open up your browser, by clicking on the Internet Explorer icon. 2. Once your browser is opened up, click on Tools.

You should delete your Temporary Internet Files at least once a week AND immediately before taking a test. NOTE: Deleting cookies is optional. 6. On the Delete Files window, click on Yes.

Scroll down until you locate the Multimedia heading. 12. Immediately above the Multimedia heading, locate the Java(Sun) heading. 13. Verify that the “Use JRE…” checkbox is checked. If it is not checked, check it. If you do not have Java(Sun), you can download it, from http://java.com/en/ . If you have BOTH the Java(Sun)AND theMicrosoft VM headings, you SHOULD NOT HAVE BOTHcheckboxes checked. If both checkboxes are checked, uncheck the Microsoft VM“JIT compiler for virtual machine…” checkbox.

Reopen Internet Explorer. 17. Log in to eCampus. SECURITY REMINDER When you exit eCampus, don’t forget to change your browser’s Security and Privacy settings back to your preferred settings. the end
