  2. TABLE OF CONTENTS • INTRODUCTION • HOW POLLUTION AFFECTS THE ENVIRONMENT • WAYS TO REDUCE POLLUTION • SUMMARY

  3. INTRODUCTION Pollution is the release of environmental contaminants. One of the major pollution include water pollution, air pollution ,and light pollution. The rest goes on

  4. How pollution affects the environment • It has the ability to destroy many habitats, and cause irreparable damage to many ecosystems. Water pollution can kill animals and plants. This pollution can also affect people as well as there homes. • Industrial waste often contains many toxic compounds that damage the health of aquatic animals and those who eat them. Some toxins affect the reproductive success of marine life and can therefore disrupt the community structure of an aquatic environment. • Microbial pollutants from sewage often result in infectious diseases that infect aquatic life and terrestrial life through drinking water. This often increases the number of mortalities seen within an environment.

  5. Ways to reduce pollution • Preserve water (use only when necessary) • Use environmentally friendly household products • Don’t litter • Dispose of toxic products with care

  6. Summary •  Throughout the history of the natural world, water sources have been the centers of life, providing habitat and sustenance for animals and plants. As water pollution continues we will proceed to have a decline in one of our major resources. Not only will we be affected so will animals and their natural habitats as well as plants and their habitats. Water pollution can cause irreparable damages to ecosystem.
