TRANSPORT NETWORK: ROADS Road network: acceptable coverage Scarcity of motorway access at south-east of Hungary Quality issues of national, regional roads: poor quality - maintenance, repairneeded
TRANSPORT NETWORK River transport The Danube is underused by passenger traffic in spite of the potentials Cycle routes The cycling path along the Danube is part of the EuroVelo network.

CONFLICTS Ecological quality of the river and the industrialized zones Risk of flood Uncontrolled and undisciplined tourism Entrepreneurial skills and practice are missing in the peripheral areas Serious limitation in language skills as well as skills in modern hospitality including communication and creativity Tourism related infrastructure is not satisfactory Standard problems Deficiencies in river based tourism (paddling, canoeing and yachting)
