The Overall Plan • Identify the total cost for energy on the Reynolda Campus for Fall 2006. • Campaign throughout the Fall 2007 semester to reduce total energy usage. • Calculate the difference between the two above figures. • Allocate half of the difference to Wake Forest and half to a selected charity.

  3. Benefits for Wake Forest • WFU received a “D” on the Environmental Sustainability Report. • Money can be used towards increasing this grade. • Student awareness

  4. Iowa State University • Student body is roughly 4.5 times larger than that of Wake. • Up to $1.5 million saved per annum • Adjusted thermostats and increased awareness.

  7. The Campaign • Work with Facilities Management • Student/faculty/staff awareness

  8. Where the Money Will Go • 50% to UNICEF or OXFAM • 50% to Wake Forest
