Actions • Adjust priorities • Schedule a mandatory professional staff meeting prior to meeting with Alliance • Get a copy of all documents & review them prior to the meeting • Attend the professional staff meeting • Assign roles & duties • Reach consensus on messages • Deliver a statement to the Scouts Conference • Attend the meeting at noon with Alliance, Conference Bureau & Union Staff • Besides other things, possibly discuss the success of the ‘after-speech’ peaceful protest the Alliance organized in late spring • Based on outcome of the meeting – decide what’s next • If the press conference is to be held, or if the conference and the display will co-exist for 4 days, arrange safety protection with campus police • Be prepared to deal with the scouting Headquarters and attorney • Advocate for the Alliance to Business Affairs • Briefing, feedback, affirmation, and possible remedy, if necessary.
