  1. Student Cards, Bank Accounts, Confirmations / Proofs International Student Service (ISS) Autumn 2014

  2. Student Identity Cards I Student card of the University of Tartu • from the dean's office of your faculty; • will be issued after September 1st; • take along one coloured photo; • secure way to prove your student status (i.e in the bank); • gives discount on transportation.

  3. Student Identity Cards II ISIC: International Student Identity Card • internationally-recognised student ID; • Cost: 6.40 EUR. • apply: • www.minukool.ee/en/content-with-menu; • through SEB or Swedbank – ISIC card with debit card functions; • more discounts than with UT student card (also in shops, restaurants etc).

  4. UT Library Card • Needed for using the library services; • Apply at the library information desk: Mon-Fri: 9:00-22:00, Sat: 11:00-20:00, Sun: 11:00-17:00; • Take your student card or your identification document (passport or ID-card) with you; • Cost: 1.60 EUR.

  5. Opening a bank account • Different banks to choose from: • SEB bank: Ülikooli st 2; • Swedbank: Turu st 1 or Riia st 1 (Tartu Kaubamaja); • Nordea bank: Riia st 1 (Tartu Kaubamaja); • Sampo bank: Ülikooli st 6a. • Take along: • Passport and/or Estonian ID-card; • UT student card; • Tenancy contract.

  6. Confirmations/Proofs I • Forms provided by your home university - Fill in as much information as you can and bring it to your coordinator at ISS. Date of arrival - ? Period of enrolment: 01.09.2014 – 01.02.2015 or 01.09.2014 – 28.06.2015; (Orientation course: 27.08.2014 - 29.08.2014) Host institution: University of Tartu Erasmus students: - UT Erasmus code: EE TARTU 02 - EUC number: 69935

  7. Confirmations/Proofs II • Exchange students: All theconfirmationsand proofs are issued by ISS. Please order itby e-mail fromyourcoordinator at ISS. Transcripts are issuedbyDean´soffices. • Degree-seekingstudents: All the confirmations and proofsare issued by Dean´sofficeofyourfaculty. Invitationfortemporaryresidencepermitisissuedby ISS. NB! Please note it takes at leastone day to get a confirmation/proof.

  8. Printing, photocopying and scanning UT Multimedia Centre (Lossi 3) The center is open on work days from 8.00-17.00. You can also forward your printing requests by e-mail to meedia@ut.ee

  9. International student list • iso@lists.ut.ee; • All the international students are included to the list for the period of study; • Important information related to studies.

  10. Rector´s festive welcome reception • At 6 p.m. on Monday, 1 September 2014; • In the University of Tartu History Museum, (Lossi 25);
