Materials Abstracts • Abstract rejections were based on reviewer scoring system out of 100 on five categories: • Technical Quality – 20 pnts • Importance/Relevance to Field – 20 pnts • Originality – 20 pnts • Conciseness/Style/Clarity – 20 pnts • Potential to be a Good Paper – 20 pnt • Reviewers Rate Each Category with: Excellent, Above Average, Average, Below Average, Poor • Average total score from all reviewers used to establish rank order • Took Top 66 Abstracts to Fill All Allocated Sessions • Cut-off score: 57 (i.e. rejected above avg. abstracts)
